Integrating online payments.
Accepting a payment is the easy part. The rest needs more care: notifications that arrive late or twice, refunds, declined payments, fraud. Since 2023, I have designed and run a platform that puts more than 150 payment providers behind a single integration.
Remote, anywhere in France and abroad.
Sounds familiar?
You want to accept online payments on your site or your application.
You work with several providers, each with its own integration and its own outages.
Some payments are confirmed by the provider but never recorded on your side.
Fraud and refunds are handled by hand, and it takes too long.
How I go about it.
- 01
The right provider for your case
Depending on where you sell, your currencies and your customers, the right choice changes. We make it together, before writing a line of code.
- 02
Reliable notifications
A payment is only confirmed by the provider's notification. I handle them so that a duplicate or late notification creates neither a double entry nor a missing one.
- 03
Hard cases planned from day one
Refunds, declined payments, disputes, identity checks above a threshold: what rarely happens must be planned from the start.
- 04
Monitored operations
A payment incident costs money. Errors are monitored and logged, so we can quickly understand what happened, and fix it.
What I have already done.
Real projects, in production. Each one gives the context and what I did.
Payment aggregation platform
One integration to accept payments through more than 150 providers, with a fraud detection engine. In production.
Virtual item trading platform
Four payment providers, inventory, real time, and a fairness system every user can verify themselves.
In practice Laravel, Node.js, Nuxt. API integrations and payment notifications (webhooks), with providers such as Stripe. Fraud detection engine.
Frequently asked questions
- Which payment provider should I choose?
- It depends on where you sell, your currencies and your volume. There is no best provider in general, only a better choice for your case. We discuss it before starting.
- Can I use several providers?
- Yes. It helps to sell in several countries, or to keep taking payments when one provider goes down. The Payviox platform is built precisely on that.
- Do card numbers go through my site?
- In a well-built integration, no: they stay with the payment provider. Your servers never see a card number, which greatly simplifies security obligations.
- Do you work remotely?
- Yes, anywhere in France and abroad, in English or French. A payment integration works very well remotely.
